Leading Academy School, London
The Quest:
This leading academy in London wanted to raise the profile of middle managers and enable them to confidently engage with seniors leaders and teachers in order to influence decisions.
The Route
A series of facilitated development sessions looked at how a lack of clarity of expectations and the subsequent management of these agreements leads to unsuccessful behaviours and outcomes. Skills development together with a collaborative framework enabled middle managers to challenge, gain respect and retain positive relationships. This also involved self-management using the techniques learned during the sessions on motivational states.
The Outcomes:
Participants learned how to clarify and agree expectations with a collaborative approach and framework. Their role profile reached new heights as they continually influenced decisions and moved toward a “Can do” value based set of behaviours in their work. Teamwork improved and supportive relationships became the norm.
“My middle managers presented yesterday to senior leadership team. They were fantastic. I was really proud of them all! Great feedback received from Senior Leadership Team and they have now been asked to present to whole staff on INSET day, which will help raise their profile even more! Thanks again Arthur”.
